The Young Academy of Sweden's (YAS') children's book Researcher Dreams provided the basis for conversations about research with two classes in year six from the Observatorielunden's school in Stockholm. The Odenplan City Library provided the arena. For one hour, YAS offered presentations, beehive discussions and interactive activities for the students and teachers.
Science education researcher Anna Danielsson, climate researcher Frida Bender and particle physicist Christian Ohm talked about their respective research fields and showed pictures from Researhcer Dreams to illustrate the scientific method and who-does-what at a university.
SUA was very happy to meet the sixth graders from Observatorielunden's school and to talk about research with them. Our warmest thank you to The City Library for having us!
