The Foundation for the Young Academy of Sweden

The Young Academy of Sweden was formed May 27th, 2011 at the initiative of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (RSAS), with the aim of becoming an interdisciplinary forum and a research policy platform for young researchers in Sweden in all disciplines. Right from the start the plan was that the Young Academy of Sweden was to be spun off from the RSAS and become a stand-alone, independent organization. Therefore, on October 24th the Foundation for the Young Academy of Sweden was formed with the primary task to ensure that the Young Academy of Sweden is able to continue its activities independently. A board manages the foundation.
