The Young Academy of Sweden has existed since 2011 and several generations of members have become alumni. Today, over 70 former members form a growing network of distinguished researchers. Regular activities are organised with our alumni and many engage in collaborative research projects.
The Titan Award is a prize that alumni can claim.
Titan is a chemical element as we all know, characterized by its high strength and relatively low weight, making it easy to carry. The Titans in Greek mythology were the first generation of gods who were eventually overthrown and replaced by the Olympians. Both of these aspects make it particularly suitable as an alumni award.
Starting in 2023, outgoing members can receive the SUA-Titan award. The award is given to members who have missed at most three academic meetings.
