ALLEA operates at the intersection of science, politics, and society and advocates on behalf of its members to promote science as a global public good. Since the Young Academy of Sweden wants to further increase its international reach, joining ALLEA was a very logical step. Being part of ALLEA allows us to strengthen our European activities and as a young academy help shape the future conditions for research in Europe, says Ronnie Berntsson, chair for the Young Academy of Sweden.
