I am an experimental physicist and materials scientist specializing in thin film physics; I study and develop coatings for applications in electrical contacts, hard coatings such as tools, and energy-related applications such as fuel cells and thermoelectric materials for waste heat recovery, as well as fundamental materials studies to understand the underlying physics. I coordinate and manage several research collaborations with the industry.
