How can policy makers across Europe use scientific knowledge to improve debates and policy decisions? And how can scientists increase dialogue and interaction with policy makers? In this session, researchers, decision makers, actors from universities and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, will share their views and experiences on best practices for science informed decision-making.

The session on Science for Policy making is part of the conference: “Open Science – From Policy to Practice” which will highlight different perspectives of shaping, implementing and embedding Open Science. The aim is to exchange knowledge, share best practices and to discuss how Open Science can contribute to strengthening sustainable futures and democracies in and beyond the European Union.
