The Young Academy of Sweden is a fantastic platform for influencing the conditions for research in Sweden, and I believe that with our breadth, we have particularly good opportunities to gain support for ideas on how interdisciplinary research can be conducted and how areas can benefit from each other. Getting to know and regularly discussing with researchers from all fields is a privilege when working transdisciplinarily like me, and I think we all learn a lot from it. Additionally, I appreciate our outward-directed activities to strengthen public understanding of research!
