Leaders from all over the world gather in Kyoto, Japan, for the “Science and Technology for Society” (STS Forum) conference.
STS Forum was established in 2004 and aims to create a platform for world leaders in politics, academia, and industry to come together and discuss how to address issues related to science and technology for the future of humanity. Last year, around 1,400 world leaders from 80 countries, regions, and international organisations gathered.
Each year, selected young leaders are invited to participate in the forum. The Young Leaders Program consists of two parts: “Young Leaders Network” and “Dialogue between Young Leaders and Nobel Laureates”, in addition to participating in discussions at the STS Forum with other world leaders.
The Young Academy of Sweden will participate with two members in 2025.
