My research focuses on the intersection of organizational studies and the study of ethnic and racial relations and migration. I aim to understand how racialization affects individuals within organizations by examining various individual and organizational aspects. Specifically, I investigate organizational members’ attitudes towards diversity, their ethnic and racial biases, and how these biases may influence decision-making processes, such as hiring decisions or the allocation of resources, for instance within welfare services. Additionally, I study individual experiences of racialization within organizations, particularly in the form of emotional labor, and how these experiences might impact stress levels at work. My research primarily utilizes survey methods, including survey experiments, which I combine with qualitative data analysis, such as interviews.
By better understanding the mechanisms behind racialized processes in organizations, my research aims to reduce discrimination and increase inclusivity.
